Hato La Aurora is a 16,000 hectare reserve in the Casanare department of Colombia. Located in the vast eastern plains, this part of Colombia has a very unique ecosystem. The Hato is a working ranch that offers amazing birding in addition to fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities. White-tailed dears, jaguars, capybara, caimans, iguanas, and giant anteaters are a few of the species that can be found on the territory of the Hato.
